Apparently, in Missouri, anti-vax sentiments are so public and toxic, people opted for secret vaccinations by donning disguises.
In an episode of CNN's Anderson Cooper in July 2021, as reported by Vanity Fair, doctors and pharmacists have received requests to keep the patient's identity private. Many have donned disguises so they are not recognized by anti-vaxxers in their lives.
Apparently, having "common sense" is not a desired quality in the south.
Many public officials wishing to protect the public with mask mandate or vaccine mandate are openly threatened, often in public meetings.
